Terms and Conditions for FjordScript Atelier

Welcome to FjordScript Atelier. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online platform and participation in our calligraphy workshops, personalized lettering courses, corporate team-building art sessions, online calligraphy tutorials, and custom calligraphy commissions. By accessing or using our site and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

1. Services Offered

• Workshops and Courses: FjordScript Atelier offers a variety of in-person and online calligraphy workshops and personalized lettering courses. Details, schedules, and pricing are available on our site.
• Corporate Team-Building: We provide custom art sessions for corporate clients. Specific terms for these services will be outlined in individual agreements.
• Online Tutorials: Access to online calligraphy tutorials may vary (e.g., free, paid subscription, one-time purchase). These tutorials are for personal use only and may not be redistributed.
• Custom Commissions: FjordScript Atelier accepts custom calligraphy commissions. All commission details, including scope, pricing, timelines, and rights, will be agreed upon in a separate commission agreement. A deposit may be required.

2. Registration and Accounts

• Account Creation: To access certain features or services (e.g., online courses), you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Payments and Cancellations

• Pricing: All prices for workshops, courses, tutorials, and commissions are stated in Swedish Krona (SEK) and are subject to change without prior notice, although prices for booked services will be honored.
• Payment: Full payment is typically required at the time of booking for workshops and courses. For commissions, payment schedules will be outlined in the individual agreement.
• Cancellation Policy for Workshops/Courses:
  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: Full refund.
  • Cancellations made 7-14 days before the event: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event: No refund.
  • FjordScript Atelier reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another date.
• Cancellation Policy for Commissions: Specific cancellation terms will be detailed in the individual commission agreement.

4. Intellectual Property

• Content Ownership: All content provided on our site and during our services, including but not limited to texts, graphics, images, videos, audio, course materials, and the FjordScript Atelier logo, is the exclusive property of FjordScript Atelier or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
• Limited License: When you purchase a workshop, course, or online tutorial, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the specific content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
• Prohibited Use: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, broadcast, display, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any content for any other purposes without the prior written consent of FjordScript Atelier.
• Commissioned Works: For custom calligraphy commissions, the specific rights and usage of the final artwork will be explicitly defined in the commission agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, FjordScript Atelier retains all intellectual property rights to the original artwork, and grants the client a license for its specified use.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use our site and services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of FjordScript Atelier. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our site and any services or content obtained through our site are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. FjordScript Atelier does not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall FjordScript Atelier, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the service; (iii) any content obtained from the service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FjordScript Atelier and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of (a) your use and access of the service, by you or any person using your account and password; or (b) a breach of these Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be finally settled by the courts of Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the service.
